1 â 3 â 2 â 6 System
This is an example of a positive progression system meaning that stakes are increased with a win. It involves a total of 4 stages. At the conclusion of each set of 4 bets, you return to the initial position. If you have a losing bet within the run of 4, then you start again. Letâs look at an example with units of $5 each.
The first bet is $5. If that wins, the second bet will be 3 units which is $15. If it loses, you start again and try another bet of 1 unit ($5). If your 3-unit bet wins, the third bet will be 2 units which is $10. If the third bet loses, you go back to the start. If the third bet wins however, you bet 6 units which would be $30. Win or lose, the next bet starts the system again, so you would go back to one unit for $5.
Those who enjoy playing this system are keen to point out that whenever the first two bets win, itâs not possible to lose within the overall 4 bet cycle. If you analyse all the permutations of this system, that is true. If bet 1 loses, you are down 1 unit. If bet 1 wins and bet 2 loses you have lost 2 units. If bets 1 and 2 win and bet 3 loses, you are up 2 units. If bets 1, 2 and 3 win and bet 4 loses, then you neither win nor lose. If you go on a lucky streak of 4 wins, then you will finish the session 12 units up.
This might be fun to play and you might enjoy the variation of returns that it brings. Of course, it makes no difference to the house edge so wonât make you win any more money in the long run, but is worth mentioning as it is a system often cited by baccarat players.
